About the Role

We are seeking a highly personable, friendly and enthusiastic person to join our team! Baker’s Assistants should exhibit a love for baking and some experience in the a bakery setting is preferred. Outstanding candidates are highly organized, catch on quickly and have excellent communication skills. Flexible hours are required; mostly morning shifts during the week and some weekends.

  • During busy season (October - January), some afternoon & night shifts required as well.

Daily Duties:

  • Provide baker’s assistant services to bakers in the on-site kitchen.

  • Assist bakers in dough preparation and baking of cookies and other items.

  • Assist bakers in lifting heavy sacks of flour, sugar and other baking items.

  • Assist bakers in operating baking machineries and implements.

  • Ability to measure dry and liquid foodstuffs in units of measurement such as gram, cup, pint, quart, pound, and oz to properly adhere to recipe and production requirements.

  • Strictly adhere to food safety laws and standards while preparing bakery products and practice safe food handling procedures at all times.

  • Maintain the premises of baking area in a neat and hygienic manner.

  • Maintain and sanitize baking utensils, tools, implements and machinery.Assist in developing and creating new delicious bakery products and recipes.

  • Ensure total customer satisfaction through baking of delicious bakery products.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

  • Ability to stand continuously throughout a shift on uncarpeted surfaces.
